Some "Pumpkin" Cards

Hello Everyone,

Sorry for the little lapse--but I have been making lots of good stuff!  I ended up subscribing to My Paper Pumpkin from Stampin Up, but over the course of the first half of the year ended up a little backlogged!  I have been spending some time getting myself caught up on all the kits--I'm almost there!

This is from the March kit--I ended up having a little fun with the stitching, getting some new colors of embroidery floss and adding a few accents, etc.

These kits are a lot of fun to use!

Thanks for stopping by--have a great day!

Another Crafty Find

Hello Everyone,

I am really on a mission to get organized this summer, and on the top of my list is finishing off old projects!  We did a card making kit for my daughter's birthday party last year, and I found a kit that I had saved for myself--the only problem was that I couldn't remember what the original design was! So I just kind of made it up as I went along.  I think it is kinda fun :).

Wishing You Rainbows and Sunshine

Stamps Used:  Up, Up, and Away Sentiments Mini Set (PTI)
Rainbow:  Cricut

Hope it is sunshiny for you today!  Thanks for stopping by!

Finally . . . some cards!

Hello Everyone,

Sorry this blog has been so quiet lately . . . work and kid activities have kept me busy!  I am trying to get back to blogging and have some projects to show you from the past few months . . . .

To begin--I made some card sets for my kids' teachers for Christmas.  It was a 4 card set using Summer Fresh from Simple Stories and Lawn Fawn stamps.  I found some great inspiration on Pinterest!  So I listed the Lawn Fawn stamp sets and the link back from Pinterest as to where I found the inspiration.

Stamps Used:  On the Mend (Lawn Fawn)

Card #2:  You're Awesome

Stamps Used:  So Much to Say, Sharp Backdrops

Card #3:  It's Your Birthday

Stamps Used:  Year Three

Card #4:  Thank You

Stamps Used:  Friendship Grows

So glad you could stop by today!  Have a great weekend, and I hope to post again soon!

Hi Everyone!

So let's start off with this card I made for the Newton's Nook Inky Paws Challenge #6--a color challenge.  I found this patterned paper in my stash from We R Memory Keepers that coordinated so well, and then added in a few sequins (my new favorite embellishment :).)  So here is my card:

Long time no see!  It is always so busy at back to school time!  This morning I took some time out to make a card for Newton's Nook's Inky Paws Challenge #2.  I just love Newton, as he looks so much like my own two kitties (and to answer Jennifer's question from the last challenge, their names are Jake and Elwood :). )

So here is this month's sketch challenge:

And here is my take on the sketch:

Newton's Nook Designs--Inky Paws Challenge #1

Hello Everyone,

I hope you are having a great summer!  There is this great new stamp company, called Newton's Nook Designs.  I had to order their kitty set when I saw that Newton, their mascot, was an orange tabby like my two kitties!  So with just the day to go, I have a card made for their first challenge, which is a sketch challenge:

So my card uses one of the adorable kitty images from Newton's Antics, of course!  I heat embossed some pawprints for the background, then had to add some sequins (my new obsession :).)

Stamps:  Newton's Antics (Newton's Nook Designs); (for the gingham mat, I used WMS Gingham & Co).
Ink:  Rich Cocoa (Memento), Versamark
Cardstock:  Papertrey Ink, Gina K Designs
Patterned Paper:  Simple Stories

I can't wait to see what other cute kitty designs Newton's Nook comes up with--hope you have a great weekend!

Summer Card Camp 2--Week #1

Hello Everyone,

I hope you are having a great week!  I have been truly enjoying Summer Card Camp 2, reading and watching all the great videos!  Here are my first cards--I used the colors of the week, and Sketch #1.

It's Birthday Time!

I'm continuing with my theme from the Pre-Class Challenge, putting together a trio of two cards/tag.  I really liked how Jennifer made the banner open and how she stamped the text on the diagonal along the sides of the banner, so I tried it out myself.

Here is the main birthday card--with little pirates for little boys:

And the mini card and tag, for a gift bag or present:
Stamps:  Tiny and Tremendous Treats: Birthday (PTI)
Cardstock:  Harvest Gold, Orange Zest, Pure Poppy, Hawaiian Shores, Stampers Select White (PTI)
Ink:  Coastal Cabana (SU), Tuxedo Black (Memento)
Misc:  Copic Markers, Ribbon

Summer Card Camp 2--Pre Class Challenge #1

Hello Everyone,

Once again, I am barely making it by the deadline--but at least I made it!  I am so excited to be participating in the Online Card Classes Summer Card Camp 2. I did #1 two years ago and just loved it, and am ready for #2!

Class starts tomorrow, but there were two Pre-Class Challenges--a color combo and a sketch.  I had a great idea for the color combo:

I made this trio--a 4 1/4 by 5 1/2 in card, a 2 3/4 in square card, and a tag--I often make up gift packages of cards for Christmas, and I think this would be great to include!

Here are the individual cards:

Happy Birthday!

And the mini card and tag:

It doesn't look like you can see it in these pictures, but the frosting on each of the cupcakes has a layer of Glossy Effects on it to make it shine :).

Stamps:  Tiny and Tremendous Treats, Birthday and Valentine (PTI)
Cardstock:  SU, PTI
Patterned Paper:  SU
Misc.:  Glitter, Glossy Effects, Copics, Ribbon

Now I didn't have time for Pre-Challenge #2--but my daughter did!  Here is her card:

It's Birthday Time!

Stamps:  Tremendous Treats Birthday (PTI)
Cardstock:  PTI
Ink:  Memento
Misc.  Markers, Chalk Ink

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  Hope to see you tomorrow in camp!

Ink:  Rich Cocoa (Memento)
Cardstock:  Berry Sorbet, Hawaiian Shores, Vintage Cream (PTI)
