Newton's Nook Designs--Inky Paws Challenge #2

Hello Everyone,

Long time no see!  It is always so busy at back to school time!  This morning I took some time out to make a card for Newton's Nook's Inky Paws Challenge #2.  I just love Newton, as he looks so much like my own two kitties (and to answer Jennifer's question from the last challenge, their names are Jake and Elwood :). )

So here is this month's sketch challenge:

And here is my take on the sketch:

I just love all the fun things you can put in the wagon--such a cute stamp set!

Stamps:  Wagon of Wishes (Newton's Nook Designs)
Ink:  Memento
Cardstock: Canyon Clay, Dark Chocolate, and Rustic Cream (PTI)
Patterned Paper:  Simple Stories

Thanks for stopping by--if you haven't checked out Newton's Nook yet, you can so so here!

Have a great weekend!

Newton's Nook Designs--Inky Paws Challenge #1

Hello Everyone,

I hope you are having a great summer!  There is this great new stamp company, called Newton's Nook Designs.  I had to order their kitty set when I saw that Newton, their mascot, was an orange tabby like my two kitties!  So with just the day to go, I have a card made for their first challenge, which is a sketch challenge:

So my card uses one of the adorable kitty images from Newton's Antics, of course!  I heat embossed some pawprints for the background, then had to add some sequins (my new obsession :).)

Stamps:  Newton's Antics (Newton's Nook Designs); (for the gingham mat, I used WMS Gingham & Co).
Ink:  Rich Cocoa (Memento), Versamark
Cardstock:  Papertrey Ink, Gina K Designs
Patterned Paper:  Simple Stories

I can't wait to see what other cute kitty designs Newton's Nook comes up with--hope you have a great weekend!

Summer Card Camp 2--Pre Class Challenge #1

Hello Everyone,

Once again, I am barely making it by the deadline--but at least I made it!  I am so excited to be participating in the Online Card Classes Summer Card Camp 2. I did #1 two years ago and just loved it, and am ready for #2!

Class starts tomorrow, but there were two Pre-Class Challenges--a color combo and a sketch.  I had a great idea for the color combo:

I made this trio--a 4 1/4 by 5 1/2 in card, a 2 3/4 in square card, and a tag--I often make up gift packages of cards for Christmas, and I think this would be great to include!

Here are the individual cards:

Happy Birthday!

And the mini card and tag:

It doesn't look like you can see it in these pictures, but the frosting on each of the cupcakes has a layer of Glossy Effects on it to make it shine :).

Stamps:  Tiny and Tremendous Treats, Birthday and Valentine (PTI)
Cardstock:  SU, PTI
Patterned Paper:  SU
Misc.:  Glitter, Glossy Effects, Copics, Ribbon

Now I didn't have time for Pre-Challenge #2--but my daughter did!  Here is her card:

It's Birthday Time!

Stamps:  Tremendous Treats Birthday (PTI)
Cardstock:  PTI
Ink:  Memento
Misc.  Markers, Chalk Ink

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  Hope to see you tomorrow in camp!
