It's time for the Papertrey Ink Blog Hop! For February, the challenge was to play with scallops. I decided to be practical this month and combine this challenge with my daughter's birthday party Saturday--so the treat bags have some scallops! I actually made 10 of these in all, here are two of them:
Party Time!
I used the large PTI scallop border, then flipped it over and die cut again to make the scalloped strip, then added some ribbon. I also used the Nestabilities Big Scallop Circles to cut the center piece, and of course I had to use Tiny Treats Birthday! Here is a close up of my daughter's bag:
I added a twine bow and we had some goody bags! I made each one different because I had to try out as many Tiny Treats images as possible!
Stamps: Tiny Treats Birthday (PTI)
Ink: Tuxedo Black (Memento)
Cardstock: Kraft, Stamper's Select White (PTI)
Patterned Paper: American Girl (EK Success)
Accessories: Ribbon, Twine (PTI); Copic Markers
Now my older daughter K (not the one having a birthday party tomorrow) also wanted to try the challenge:
Soaring By to Say Hi
She had so much fun making the scalloped grass!
Stamps: Everyday Button Bits (PTI)
Ink: Rich Cocoa (Memento)
Cardstock: Blueberry Sky, Spring Moss, Simply Chartreuse, Ripe Avocado, Vintage Cream (PTI)
Accessories: Buttons (PTI)
Thanks so much for stopping by our blog today! I can't wait to hop and see everyone's creations (after the birthday party of course!)
Have a wonderful weekend!
Chris

ReplyDeleteVery nice. I loved the decorated bags. What a neat idea .
ReplyDeleteNice way to dress up a gift bag. And tell K, her card is wonderful and to keep creating. Love the scallops for the ground below. I often wonder what we look like when balloons pass over our hills here. Maybe they look like scallops!
